Kate Shaw is an ABC News contributor covering the Supreme Court and legal issues on Capitol Hill. Kate graduated with a B.A. magna cum laude from Brown University and with a J.D. magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from Northwestern University Law School. She began her career working for Judge Richard Posner on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. From there she clerked for Justice John Paul Stevens of the U.S. Supreme Court and later worked in the White House Counsel’s Office as Special Assistant to the President and Associate Counsel to the President. Kate is also the co-host of Strict Scrutiny, a podcast about the Supreme Court and the legal culture that surrounds it.
